Report: Real Madrid to grant Gareth Bale exit wish

A report claims that Real Madrid have grown tired of Gareth Bale's injury problems and will accept a cut-price figure for the forward in the summer.

Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale will be allowed to leave the Bernabeu at the end of the campaign, according to a report.

The Wales international has struggled for form and fitness over the last 18 months or so and has been overlooked for selection in key games this month.

Bale's morale is said to have taken a hit when left out for the Champions League tie with Paris Saint-Germain last week, as well as La Liga clashes with Real Sociedad and Leganes.

Agent Jonathan Barnett is understood to be working to push through an exit in the summer, and Spanish outlet Marca suggests that Madrid are prepared to accept a cut-price offer.

The report indicates that Zinedine Zidane is unwilling to use the 28-year-old as it "has become infeasible for Bale to block the pathway" of younger players, such as Spanish attacker Marco Asensio.

Following Bale's most recent injury layoff, Madrid are prepared to accept a figure below the £80m mark that Manchester United were supposedly ready to hand over last summer.
