Sevilla are reportedly interested in signing Real Madrid forward Mariano Diaz before the European transfer window closes at the start of next week.
The 26-year-old re-joined Madrid from Lyon in last summer's transfer window after scoring 21 times in 48 appearances during his time in France.
The striker only netted four times in 19 appearances for Los Blancos last term, though, with a series of injury problems making it a difficult campaign for the Dominican Republic international.
According to Marca, Mariano has emerged as Sevilla's 'primary target' in this summer's transfer window, although Madrid have placed a £27m valuation on the attacker.
The same report adds that Los Blancos head coach Zinedine Zidane does not view Mariano as part of his plans at the Bernabeu.
Sevilla have won both of their La Liga matches at the start of the 2019-20 season, while Madrid have collected four points from their two fixtures.
