Reims head coach Jean-Luc Vasseur has declared himself pleased with the 2-2 draw against title challengers Marseille.
A late David N'Gog strike earned Reims a point despite being them forced onto the back foot for long spells of the Ligue 1 clash on Friday night, and Vasseur believes that his side are showing signs of improving.
"I'm not unhappy. A draw here, given Marseille's dizzying run at home, isn't bad," the Reims boss told reporters. "We managed to contain Marseille by defending deep. We struggled at the end of the first half, and we had a few small problems in the second half. We're looking for consistency, and it's not easy, but it augurs well.
"In comparison to our first game with them this season, I see Reims have improved. Marseille were very impressive in the first game, and a little less now because teams are better prepared and are less surprised by Marseille going forward."
Reims have not won any of their last six games.
