Fabio Capello reportedly remains the head coach of Russia for the time being after surviving Wednesday's crisis meeting.
The Russian Football Union's executive committee held talks about the future of the former England boss following a string of poor results.
Russia were left in danger of failing to qualify for the 2016 European Championships in France following a 1-0 defeat to Austria earlier this month.
According to The AP, the Union's acting president Nikita Simonyan revealed after the meeting that Capello remains in charge of the national team for now and will meet with RFU bosses.
The Italian coach became Russia coach in 2012.
