Sevilla attacker Yevhen Konoplyanka has revealed that he is taking time to adjust to life in a new country after making the move to Spain in the summer transfer window.
The Ukraine international was linked with a number of clubs when he decided to leave Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk on a free transfer, but it was Sevilla that won the race.
The 25-year-old has scored twice for his new club this season, but has still not featured in their starting XI and the attacker has said that he will need time to settle in his new surroundings.
"I don't regret coming to Spain. I didn't receive many offers. Some came from the Premier League and Sevilla and Atletico from Spain, but I kept thinking that Sevilla were right for me," AS quotes Konoplyanka as saying.
"I was very anxious when making my choice, to the point that I got nervous and lost three kilos beforehand. I loved Sevilla's insistence on signing me, so I think I made the right decision.
"I moved to Spain nearly three months ago but have practically no free time, not even time to learn the language or hire a teacher. I've had to do many things, starting with finding a house. All I'm doing now is training and staying quiet."
Konoplyanka scored the winner in Sevilla's 3-2 victory over Rayo Vallecano in La Liga on Sunday.
