Newcastle United have reportedly approached Tottenham Hotspur to enquire about signing Dele Alli in the upcoming January transfer market.
It was reported earlier this week that Spurs are willing to listen to offers for the England international, which has sparked speculation over his future.
The 25-year-old has featured eight times in the Premier League this season, scoring once in the process, but he has yet to start a single game under Antonio Conte in the top flight.
Newcastle have recently made contact about potentially signing Alli in the January window, with the Magpies looking to secure a loan deal until the end of the season, according to TEAMTalk.
However, it was also stated that Eddie Howe's club would like to add a clause that they would have an option to make it permanent if they are able to survive in the relegation battle.
The Magpies are currently 19th in the table and are just three points adrift of safety, having only won once throughout the campaign.
