Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly weighing up a move for Bayern Munich stalwart Jerome Boateng.
The 32-year-old is now in the final year of his contract with the Bavarian giants but has nevertheless played a key role in the early stages of the new season, starting six of Bayern's seven Bundesliga matches.
However, Boateng was linked with a move away from the Allianz Arena over the summer and his future at Bayern is still shrouded in uncertainty, with the Germany international reportedly refusing to enter talks over a new deal.
According to Bild, Tottenham are keeping a close eye on developments surrounding Boateng's future, and Jose Mourinho has earmarked the centre-back as an ideal signing.
Boateng has already played in the Premier League with Manchester City, making 16 top-flight appearances in the 2010-11 campaign at the Etihad, where he spent just one season before leaving for Bayern.
Since then, the German has gone on to win 20 major honours with the perennial Bundesliga champions, scoring nine goals from 333 matches across all competitions.
