Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly lining up a move for RB Leipzig midfielder Marcel Sabitzer.
Manager Jose Mourinho was impressed by the 26-year-old's performance in last season's Champions League knockout match, which saw the German side eliminate Spurs from the competition.
Mundo Deportivo reports that Tottenham are keeping a close eye on the Austrian international in case they lose Barcelona target Tanguy Ndombele and would be willing to spend around £45m to capture the Leipzig star.
Leipzig are also understood to be considering allowing Sabitzer to leave the club at the right price as they are aware that his value will only decrease with his contract expiring in 2022.
Sabitzer is a valuable member of Julian Nagelsmann's side, who currently occupy third place in the Bundesliga table, two points off leaders Bayern Munich.
The Leipzig skipper scored 16 times and provided 11 assists across 44 matches in all competitions for the German club last season.
Spurs, meanwhile, are looking to strengthen in January having recently slipped up in the Premier League with a draw against Crystal Palace and defeats against both Liverpool and Leicester City.
