Tottenham Hotspur sign Benjamin Stambouli from Montpellier HSC.

Tottenham Hotspur have signed Benjamin Stambouli from Montpellier HSC.

The 24-year-old had been strongly linked with a move to Fiorentina, but Spurs have moved to secure the signing.

The news was confirmed on the club's official Twitter page, with Stambouli pictured holding a Spurs shirt.


The versatile midfielder, who mainly operates in a defensive role, had been with Montpellier since 2004.
