Former midfielder Rafael van der Vaart has said that Tottenham Hotspur should attempt to sign Ajax playmaker Hakim Ziyech.
Despite impressing during Ajax's run to the Champions League semi-finals last season, Ziyech failed to secure a move to a top European club during the summer.
However, Van der Vaart feels that the Moroccan would be well suited to representing Spurs in the future.
The Dutchman told Voetbal Primeur: "I really hope he goes to Tottenham Hotspur, I sent a message today to [Daniel] Levy, I said: Get Ziyech after this season.
"I am convinced that he becomes a sensation in London, and I also wish him that."
Ziyech has contributed six goals and six assists from 13 outings in the Eredivisie and Champions League during the current campaign.
