Angola and Sudan draw 2-2 in the second round of Group B clashes in the African Cup of Nations.

Angola are likely to qualify for the quarter-finals of the African Cup of Nations after defeating Sudan 2-2 in the Group B match, dampening their opponents' hopes of staying in the competition.

Angola served a crushing blow to Sudan in the fourth minute of the clash after going one goal up courtesy of a low shot into the far post from ex-Manchester United striker Manucho.

The Falcons of Jediane led to their own downfall after some questionable defending, which allowed the number nine to dispossess Nagm Eldin. However, Mohammed Abdallah's side responded well to the sudden deficit by pushing forward with the likes of Muhannad Tahir, who had the chance to draw level until his shot was stopped by a diving save from Carlos.

Sudan's pressure eventually paid off with an equaliser, which came from Mohamed Ahmed Basir, who headed into the top left-hand corner after an executed pass from Mudather El Taib.

Abdallah's men finished the half all square, with 45 minutes left to try to secure a win and remain in the Nations Cup.

After just five minutes of the second half Angola were awarded a penalty due to a bad challenge from Hamid Mazar on Djalma, which allowed Manucho to claim his third goal of the tournament and made him the current top scorer in the finals.

Once Angola took the lead, they began to dominate the match until a long ball from Sudan's defence found substitute Vunguidica in the box, who slotted it home in the left-hand side of the goal making it 2-2.

Neither side could grab the winner, resulting in a shared point in the Group B clash.
