Swansea City boss Garry Monk has revealed that Ki Sung-yueng will be offered a new contract with the club.
The midfielder, who spent last season on loan with Sunderland, has one year remaining on his current deal at the Liberty Stadium.
Despite struggling to make an impact on the team following his arrival from Celtic in 2012, Monk is eager to keep Ki in his squad.
"I've said how important Ki is to us, what a good player I think he is, and what he can offer us," Monk is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.
"I want to keep him here. He's a very good guy, a good professional, so, yeah, we'll be trying to make him an offer to keep him at Swansea City."
Ki has won 60 caps for the South Korea national team since he made his debut back in 2008.
