The Premier League club are seeking a replacement for Joe Allen and Sylvestre is on Michael Laudrup's shortlist, according to Sky Sports News.
Sylvestre has just one year left on his contract at Bloomfield Road and Blackpool could be tempted to cash in on the midfielder.
The 28-year-old has made 36 appearances for Blackpool since joining the club in 2010.
