Watford manager Gianfranco Zola has praised his side's endurance following Saturday's 2-1 win over Derby County in the Championship.
Goals from Matej Vydra and Joel Ekstrand looked to have put the Hornets in control at Vicarage Road before Jamie Ward's late penalty set up a nervous finale.
However, the hosts survived to move up to second place in the table.
"I think [the penalty has] made it more difficult for my heart but we held on anyway and we came out with three points that are very, very important, especially because we were playing against a good team and it was the third game in a week," Zola told Sky Sports News.
Watford continue their promotion charge on Friday when they travel to struggling Wolverhampton Wanderers.
