Premier League newcomers Leicester City have had a £6.5m bid rejected for Watford's Troy Deeney, according to the Leicester Mercury.
The 26-year-old has attracted attention from a number of top-flight clubs after scoring an impressive 45 goals for Watford in the previous two seasons.
Deeney has been tracked by the Foxes along with fellow promoted side Burnley after his prolific goal scoring, netting 25 last season.
The striker joined Watford from Walsall in 2010 but was sentenced to 10 months in prison for affray in 2012, although he was released early after showing remorse.
