Matt Jarvis eyes more goals for West Ham United

West Ham United winger Matt Jarvis reveals that he is eager to score more goals after netting his first of the season on Saturday during his side's win over Southampton.

West Ham United winger Matt Jarvis has revealed that he is eager to score more goals after netting his first of the season during his side's 3-1 win over Southampton on Saturday.

Jarvis, Carlton Cole and Kevin Nolan were all on target at Upton Park as the Hammers gave their Premier League survival hopes another boost.

The 27-year-old is now keen to add to his tally before the end of the campaign.

"I'm delighted with the win," he told the club's official website. "It carries on our run in this fantastic streak we're in, against a good Southampton team. It was a fantastic win and I was delighted to get on the score sheet myself.

"It was my first goal in the Premier League this season so hopefully I can get a few more now. Hopefully I can carry it on.

"It's something I needed to start doing more often. Creating the opportunities is part of my job but scoring goals and helping the team that way is a massive area in which I need to contribute and hopefully I can start doing that now."

West Ham are back in action this Saturday when they travel to Everton in the Premier League.
