Mark Noble: 'West Ham United staying focused'

Mark Noble is confident that he and his West Ham teammates will not get carried away by their strong start to the season.

West Ham United midfielder Mark Noble has insisted that the team will not get carried away by their strong start to the season.

The Hammers earned a surprise 2-1 win at home to Manchester City on Saturday, keeping them in fourth place in the Premier League table after nine games.

However, Noble believes that it is important for the squad to stay focused and maintain their recent run of form.

"I think our goal at the minute is still to finish in the top 10 but if you keep winning games like that, then people will expect more from you," he told the club's official website.

"I'm pretty sure we won't get carried away. There are still loads of games left and we know that there are still loads of points to play for, but we're on 16 points and there is all to play for."

West Ham continue their Premier League campaign this Saturday when they make the trip to Stoke City.
