Bournemouth have reportedly rejected an offer of £8m from West Ham United for midfielder Harry Arter.
Earlier this month, it was claimed that Hammers boss David Moyes had identified Arter as one of his main transfer targets for the January window as he looks to strengthen his squad ahead of a potential battle to remain in the Premier League.
However, according to the Sunday Express, Bournemouth have turned down West Ham's first bid for the Republic of Ireland international.
The 27-year-old has found himself in and out of Eddie Howe's starting lineup this season, with 10 starts and one substitute outing coming in the top flight.
During the summer, Arter penned a new long-term contract with the Cherries but with the south coast outfit struggling for form, Howe could consider offers for the player.
