West Ham United are reportedly in talks with FC Koln over a move for French forward Anthony Modeste.
It appeared that the 29-year-old was closing in on a move to Tianjin Quanjin last week, with the Chinese Super League side said to have agreed a £30.6m deal to sign the Frenchman.
The deal broke down at the final moment, however, amid suggestions that Tianjin are interested in signing Borussia Dortmund forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
West Ham were strongly linked with Modeste last summer, and according to Sky Sports News, the Hammers are ready to pay £25m to sign a player that scored 25 times in the Bundesliga during the 2016-17 campaign.
Modeste has previously played in England for Blackburn Rovers, but the former France Under-21 international failed to score in nine Premier League appearances during a loan spell in 2012.
