West Ham United have reportedly decided to attempt to offload Andy Carroll to his former club Newcastle United during the January transfer window.
The striker joined the Hammers on a permanent basis from Liverpool last year, just two years after the Anfield side paid the Magpies £35m for him.
According to the Evening Chronicle, the London side will be keen to sell the oft-injured forward in January, and are hoping that struggling Newcastle will be keen to bring the England international back to Tyneside.
Carroll has not played in the Premier League this season, having sustained an ankle ligament injury during a pre-season tour of New Zealand.
