Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Kevin Doyle has revealed that he is "enjoying the challenge" of playing in League One.
Doyle had been linked with summer moves to Celtic and Leicester City, but after neither failed to materialise, the Republic of Ireland international has insisted that he is happy at Molineux.
The 29-year-old told the Express & Star: "The door was kept open to me to stay by the club. The gaffer spoke to me and said that he would like to keep me if he could.
"I'm enjoying the challenge of hopefully getting this club back to a position where everyone can be proud of it again."
The former Reading frontman has scored 27 goals in 139 appearances since joining Wolves in 2009.
