Kenny Jackett tips Wolverhampton Wanderers to become top-10 Premier League side

Former Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Kenny Jackett tips the Championship winners to finish in the top 10 of the Premier League table next season.

Kenny Jackett has backed Wolverhampton Wanderers to finish in the top 10 of the Premier League table next season.

Jackett is now in charge of Portsmouth, but the ex-boss of the West Midlands side has sent congratulatory messages to Molineux after the club secured the Championship title.

Wolves' first aim will be to remain in the top flight, but Jackett feels that Nuno Espirito Santo's side are capable of quickly establishing themselves among English football's elite.

Jackett told Portsmouth News: "I am delighted for Wolves, several messages were sent and returned, congratulations to them.

"It's a massive club and the way the owners have come in and backed it means it looks like it could keep going as well. It has potential to be in the top 10 of the Premier League if they get it right, which they'll be working really hard to achieve next season, I'm sure. They'll take some stopping."

During a three-season spell at Wolves between 2013 and 2016, Jackett won the League One title and recorded 69 victories from his 150 matches in charge.
