Diogo Jota: 'Wolverhampton Wanderers are an exciting side'

Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Diogo Jota claims that his side are "exciting" after their impressive start to the Championship season.

Wolverhampton Wanderers attacking midfielder Diogo Jota has claimed that his side are "exciting" as the club sit third after just six games in the Championship.

The Portuguese, who is on loan at Molineux for the season from Atletico Madrid, scored the only goal of the game in Wolves' 1-0 win over Millwall last Saturday.

"It is an exciting team. The fans like the way we play. It is different to what they are used to", Jota told the Express & Star.

"It is more of a possession game. We like that they like it. It is the coach's idea and it is good the fans like the style of the game because that is how we are going to play.

"The football here is different to what I'm used to but it's not a problem because we are adaptable players."

Jota also outlined what the side need to do to improve after edging past Millwall.

The midfielder added: "The season has gone well so far but we can improve. We are aware of that and it's what we are trying to do.

"We need to score more goals and kill the games, we need to not suffer like we did in this game.

"In the last minute it nearly cost us. That is what we need to improve."

Wolves face Bristol City on Tuesday night looking for their fifth league win of the season, before travelling to Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
