Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Mick McCarthy has backed Harry Redknapp to become the next manager of England.
The Tottenham Hotspur boss has emerged as a frontrunner to lead the national team through this summer's Euro 2012.
"If ever there's a guy at the top of his game, it's Harry," McCarthy said. "With all the stuff he's been through, he must be as tough as an old boot.
"He has everything he needs to manage England.
"But I hate going with public opinion, so I'll say Kevin Keegan."
Fabio Capello resigned as England boss this week over the FA's handling of the John Terry affair.
