Stale Solbakken: 'I'm not worried about my job'

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Stale Solbakken insists that he is not worried about losing his job at Molineux.

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Stale Solbakken has insisted that he would have left the club if he did not believe that he could turn around the club's poor run of form.

Solbakken has witnessed Wolves lose their last three matches to Peterborough United, Ipswich Town and Crystal Palace respectively and slump to 18th place in the Championship table.

However, despite Wolves recording just three wins in their last 16 matches, Solbakken believes that his side can recapture the form that saw them sit in the playoff positions earlier in the season.

Solbakken told the Birmingham Mail: "The last thing I should worry about is my job. That would only make things worse.

"At the moment, all I am thinking about day and night is to see the Wolves we saw for parts earlier in the season.

"That seems a long way away at the moment but only hard work will help us turn things around. We are not looking good but I do believe I can turn it around – otherwise I wouldn't be here."

Wolves will attempt to return to winnings ways on Saturday when they travel to Luton Town in the FA Cup.
