Kenny Jackett has insisted that Wolverhampton Wanderers have no intention of selling Benik Afobe before the end of the transfer window.
Afobe scored 19 goals while on loan at MK Dons from Arsenal in the first half of last season, before finding the net 13 times in 21 Championship appearances after joining Wolves on a permanent deal in January.
Reports at the weekend had suggested that Aston Villa boss Tim Sherwood was considering a move for the 22-year-old, but Jackett is confident that the striker will stay at Molineux.
"He is happy here, he works hard and has a central role and place in the team," the Wolves boss told reporters.
"A lot of people ask me about him and about his future but we bought him to Wolves to work with him and for us to be successful."
Afobe has scored twice in three games this season.
