Aston Villa eye Benik Afobe?

A report claims that Aston Villa boss Tim Sherwood is hoping to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers centre-forward Benik Afobe.

Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood has reportedly made Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Benik Afobe one of his main transfer targets.

Following the departure of last season's leading goalscorer Christian Benteke to Liverpool, Sherwood has moved to replace the Belgium international with the additions of Jordan Ayew and Rudy Gestede.

However, according to the Sunday Express, the Villa boss has also identified former Arsenal hitman Afobe as the ideal player to help further fill the void left by Benteke.

The 22-year-old joined Wolves from the Gunners in January and he went on to score 13 goals in 21 outings last term.
