Romain Grosjean: 'I'll change my race preparation'

Lotus driver Romain Grosjean reveals that inexperience was the reason for his mistake in Belgium.

Romain Grosjean has claimed that he will be "better prepared" when he returns to Formula 1 action in Singapore this weekend.

The Lotus driver missed the Italian Grand Prix after causing a collision with Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso in Belgium a week before.

Grosjean has defended his error but revealed that he will be changing the way he prepares for races, beginning at Marina Bay.

"We most of the time forget that it's my first year in Formula 1. I'm always fighting in the top 10 because we're almost always in Q3 qualifying," said the 26-year-old. "It means that you're always with very experienced drivers and sometimes it's not as easy as learning from the back.

"It comes with the experience to know exactly what we can do to take the right decision. But as well there is the preparation. We'll change a few things around me to help me get better prepared for the race and to improve myself."

Grosjean is eighth in the standings of the world championship.
