World Champion Lewis Hamilton has said that he will sign his long-awaited new Mercedes contract by the Monaco Grand Prix next weekend.
The 30-year-old has negotiated the deal himself, and has been locked in talks since the back end of last year.
The contract, which is rumoured to be worth £120m over three years, has been close to completion for some time, but niggling issues have stopped it from being announced.
However, Hamilton told reporters when asked when he will formally put pen to paper: "I will have some news for you in Monaco."
The Englishman currently leads the drivers' standings by 20 points from Nico Rosberg.
