This week, F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali has incorporated Thailand into his travel plans.
Following a visit from a South Korean delegation to Suzuka for preliminary discussions about hosting a Formula 1 race, Domenicali planned to visit South Korea "for further discussions." However, before heading to Korea, Domenicali spent Monday in Thailand.
The Italian engaged in talks with Thai Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin, as reported by RMC Sport and Bloomberg, with both Thailand and Formula 1 expressing interest in finalizing a race agreement.
Government spokesperson Chai Watcharong noted, "Basically, if F1 is to take place in Thailand, we want the grand prix to be on the roads. We are currently working on this," he continued, indicating that the streets of Bangkok are the preferred location for the event.
