Formula 1's governing body, the FIA, has announced that a record 21-race calendar has been confirmed for the 2016 season.
The schedule includes the introduction of a street circuit in Baku in Azerbaijan, but the United States Grand Prix is only listed as provisional, as a cut in funding from the state of Texas leaves the Austin race in doubt.
The season will get underway at the Australian Grand Prix on March 20, while the Malaysia race, which has been one of the earliest of the season in recent years, moves back to October.
Defending world champion Lewis Hamilton will race in front of his home fans at the British Grand Prix on July 16, while the German Grand Prix is back on the calendar after a year off because of funding problems.
The FIA also confirmed that more engine development will be allowed in season, while constructors will be given more freedom to chose additional tyre compounds.
