Englishman Lee Slattery has claimed his first European Tour title by winning the Madrid Masters by one stroke.
The 33-year-old, who led overnight, was in a comfortable position as he prepared to play the final hole with a three-shot lead.
However, he struggled over the finish line after carding a double-bogey seven at the 18th when he shots into the sand and water hazards.
Italian Lorenzo Gagli had the chance to level with Slattery, but he missed a 30-foot birdie putt on the 18th.
Slattery's maiden victory has come in his 183rd event.
