Team England's Max Whitlock claims gold in men's floor gymnastics as he edges out Canada's Scott Morgan to win his third gold medal of the Commonwealth Games.

Team England's Max Whitlock has claimed the gold medal in men's floor gymnastics at the Commonwealth Games.

The 21-year-old secured the medal with a score of 15.533 to clinch his third gold of the Games, following his success in the men's team and the men's all-around events.

Whitlock narrowly edged out Canada's Scott Morgan who finished in second with a score of 15.133, while New Zealand's David Bishop took the bronze.

Scotland's Daniel Keatings just missed out on a medal in fourth place, while Wales's Clinton Purnell and England's Kristian Thomas placed in fifth and eighth respectively.
