Coventry Blaze have been crowned British ice hockey champions, after beating Sheffield Steelers 4-2 in the Elite League playoff final.
Blaze, who dominated British ice hockey throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, lifted their first Elite League trophy since 2005.
Steve Goertzen scored from the slot after three minutes, before Jerome Tendler scored a second at the start of the second period.
Ross Venus added a third on the breakaway at 29:17 and Ashley Tait, in his 25th season at the top level of British ice hockey, added a fourth 90 seconds later.
Elite League Player of the Year Mathieu Roy, who scored a late winner in the semi-final, pulled a goal back for Sheffield Steelers after 43:26 and took the game to 4-2 three minutes later.
Cale Tanaka saw a penalty shot saved by Blaze goaltender Josh Unice in the closing stages, and Coventry held on to claim their first Elite League title in 10 years.
Elsewhere, Belfast Giants beat Hull Stingrays 8-6 in the third-place playoff.
