Arsenal have announced that former winger Freddie Ljungberg has returned to the club as an ambassador.
The 36-year-old will aim to promote the club on an international stage, starting with a trip to Asia next week to embark on a number of media events to discuss the the Gunners' pre-season tour in Indonesia, Vietnam and Japan.
"I'm honoured to take on this ambassadorial role," Ljungberg told the club's official website. "The club has a special place in my heart as everyone knows and I'm looking forward to helping the club grow."
Head of marketing Charles Allen added: "We are delighted that Freddie has agreed, in this ambassadorial role, to help us reach more of our passionate supporters around the globe. He is much loved by our fans and it's great to have him back."
Ljungberg spent 10 years with the Gunners, lifting two Premier League titles and three FA Cups.
