La Liga side Cordoba have been forced to abandon their current training ground after the complex experienced serious vandalism.
The Spanish club's president Carlos Gonzalez revealed the news on Wednesday, with the police now said to be launching an investigation.
"What's happened is lamentable, it's very serious. I think it's the first time in the history of Spanish football that a club's first-team facilities have been sabotaged," Gonzalez told reporters.
"Police have launched an inquest into determining the perpetrators of this barbarism. There's no solution for where [the pitch] has burnt.
"The grass won't grow [over the burnt patches] as the company responsible for our lawn have confirmed this to be the case. We can't train here any longer as there's a high risk of injury. We now have a serious problem because there's not another facility in Cordoba where a Primera club can train."
Cordoba return to league action away to Sevilla this weekend.
