Jamie Donaldson "still drunk" on morning after Europe's Ryder Cup win

Jamie Donaldson admits that he's "still drunk" during a TV interview after Europe won their 10th Ryder Cup over the USA at Gleneagles yesterday.

Europe's Jamie Donaldson has admitted in an interview this morning that he is "still drunk" following his team's Ryder Cup success at Gleneagles yesterday.

Celebrations went into the early hours of the morning after Donaldson scored the winning point to give Europe their 10th title over the USA.

Europe, who were led by captain Paul McGinley, scooped the Samuel Ryder trophy for the third time in a row with an eventual scoreline of 16.5-11.5.

This morning, when asked by Sky Sports News if he has taken it in yet - claiming the winning point, Donaldson replied: "No, because I'm still drunk."

Meanwhile, 2011 British Open champion Darren Clarke has emerged as the bookmakers' favourite to succeed McGinley as captain for the 2016 tournament.
