Former Leeds United managing director David Haigh has reportedly been cleared to return to the UK after 22 months in a Dubai prison.
Haigh had been convicted of fraud by a Dubai court but was today acquitted.
Sky Sports News quotes Haigh's spokesman as saying: "David is delighted this 22-month nightmare is coming to an end.
"He was tricked into flying to Dubai under the pretext of an offer of a new job. He expects to be reunited with his family in the UK in time for Easter."
Haigh resigned as MD of Leeds after the takeover of Italian businessman Massimo Cellino.
