Numerous hate pages dedicated to the referee who gave Manchester United winger Nani his marching orders have emerged on Facebook.
Turkish match official Cuneyt Cakir was at the centre of a controversial decision during Tuesday night's Champions League battle between United and Real Madrid when he sent off Nani for a high challenge on Alvaro Arbeloa.
The clash, which secured a quarter-final spot for Madrid courtesy of a 2-1 victory at Old Trafford, was marred by the decision, which left manager Sir Alex Ferguson reeling.
Following the match, angry United supporters created Facebook pages expressing their anger at the referee, one of which is titled 'F*** you Cuneyt Cakir', which has been 'liked' 3,768 times.
One post includes an image of Cakir with the caption 'Somebody hates the English'.
