Football fans to protest against ticket prices over October weekend

The Football Supporters' Federation calls on fans to protest against the prices for away games during the weekend of October 3.

Football fans are planning a protest in October to express their frustrations over matchday ticket prices for away games.

The Football Supporters' Federation has created a 'Twenty's Plenty for Away Tickets' campaign, urging the powers that be to introduce a £20 cap.

The FSF plans to recruit fellow fans for a demonstration on Saturday, October 3 and Sunday, October 4.

The Federation's chief executive Kevin Miles said via their official website: "Over the past 25 years money has flowed into football enriching players, owners, executives and agents – we think it's about time fans saw some of the benefits too.

"Nine out of 10 fans feel that football is too expensive but fans' loyalty and commitment to their clubs is being exploited."

The Merseyside derby between Liverpool and Everton, as well as Manchester United's clash against Arsenal, will be played over that weekend.
