Former heavyweight champion Ken Norton has suffered a heart attack in Las Vegas, leaving the ex-pro in a 'delicate condition'.

The 69-year-old was taken to hospital over the weekend after falling ill, making him unavailable for the WBC Legendary Night in Vegas.

"I went to visit him at the hospital and he's not good, though the doctor said to me that he will be OK," the Daily Mail quotes WBC president Jose Sulaiman as saying.

Norton, who was crowned the WBC champion in 1978, famously became the second person to defeat Muhammad Ali in his entire career.
