The defence team for Oscar Pistorius has said that the six-time Paralympic champion will serve 10 months of his five-year sentence for killing girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp in prison.
The 27-year-old has been sentenced to five years behind bars for shooting Steenkamp on Valentine's Day last year.
The South African was found guilty of culpable homicide [manslaughter] but was cleared of murder after claiming that he mistook his girlfriend for an intruder when he fired four gunshots through a toilet door at his Pretoria home.
Pistorius's legal team have said that they expect him to need to serve 10 months of his sentence in jail before moving to house arrest.
Judge Thokozile Masipa also gave Pistorius a three-year sentence for a firearms charge, which has been suspended for five years.
