Prince William will reportedly host a football match at Buckingham Palace as part of the Football Association's 150th anniversary celebrations.
The Duke of Cambridge, who is president of the FA, will oversee the match, which will be the first contest to be played at the Palace.
Civil Service FC and Polytechnic FC will go up against each other on October 7 as they are the two oldest amateur clubs in London, according to the Daily Star.
The Queen is said to have given Wembley groundsman Tony Stones permission to build a pitch at the Palace.
