Former England cricket captain Andrew Strauss will run in next month's London Marathon with his wife Ruth.
The 36-year-old former Middlesex batsman, who retired from cricket last August, is planning to raise money for The Lord's Taverners.
A statement on Middlesex County Cricket Club's official website said: "Training has been tough, particularly in the snow, but they are both really excited about taking on such a challenge and are delighted to be part of the Taverners team running for such a great cause and by the time they cross the finish line, they will have run over 600 miles in total!"
The couple, who will race on April 21, are attempting to raise £100,000.
