British boxer Tyson Fury 'spends weekend in custody over motoring offence'

British heavyweight boxer Tyson Fury reportedly spent the weekend in police custody after failing to turn up to court over a speeding offence.

British boxer Tyson Fury reportedly spent the weekend in police custody after failing to turn up to court for a hearing regarding a speeding offence.

The 26-year-old was caught speeding at 90mph in Southern Scotland in November last year.

The undefeated heavyweight initially admitted the offence in a letter, but a warrant was issued for his arrest when he did not turn up for a personal hearing.

According to The Mirror, Fury spent the weekend in jail and was later issued with a two-month driving ban and a £400 fine.

Fury already had 11 points on his licence.
