Tennis star Venus Williams 'drove lawfully' in fatal car crash

Footage emerges showing that Venus Williams was 'driving lawfully' during a car crash in Florida last month that led to the death of a 78-year-old male.

Seven-time Grand Slam winner Venus Williams has been found to have been 'driving lawfully' during a fatal car crash in Florida last month.

Williams was accused of being at fault for the crash in Palm Beach Gardens, which led to the death of a 78-year-old male.

Footage has emerged of the tennis star entering an intersection while the traffic signal was green, however, which goes against an earlier police report suggesting that she violated her right of way.

Williams is currently competing at Wimbledon for a 20th time, making it through to the last 16 where she will face Ana Konjuh.

The 37-year-old's lawyer maintains that the incident on June 9 was an accident.
