USA goalkeeper Hope Solo will reportedly stand trial on January 20 on misdemeanour domestic violence charges involving an alleged altercation involving family members.
The female footballer is facing two counts of fourth-degree domestic violence assault in relation to an incident with her sister and 17-year-old nephew at a family gathering on June 21.
According to The Seattle Times, Solo will stand trial in two months' time and will return to Kirkland Municipal Court on January 6 for her next hearing.
According to court documents, Solo and her nephew got into a physical altercation when she allegedly called him 'crazy and fat' after discussing his ambition to become an actor.
Solo has pleaded not guilty.
