The USA, Canada and Mexico have won the right to host the 2026 World Cup after a joint bid.

The three-country bid received 134 votes, while Morocco, the nearest challengers, were given 65 votes.

The USA will host 60 of the tournament's 80 matches, while Canada and Mexico will each have 10 matches, as the World Cup is hosted by three countries for the first time in its history.

The USA will also host the final, which will be played at the MetLife stadium in New Jersey.

FIFA president Gianni Infantino presented 13 proposals on which each bid was centred, before electronic balloting decided the final result.
