Channel 4 commentator sends embarrassing tweet

A Twitter message saying "Oh and by the way, I want your hot body tonight babe. xxxxx," is sent out on a Twitter account under the name of racing commentator Simon Holt.

A Twitter account under the name of racing commentator Simon Holt accidentally sent an embarrassing tweet intended as a private message yesterday.

The account of @PlumptonRaceDay sent out the message saying: "Oh and by the way, I want your hot body tonight babe. xxxxx."

After realising the mistake another message was sent which said: "The previous message was sent in error! Please ignore ...... unless you are Cameron Diaz or my wife."

It has since been revealed that the account is, in fact, ghost written under Holt's name by the local newspaper racing columnist Jason Hall.

"I sent a text to my wife asking if she could get some milk and bread from the shop on her way home," said Hall.

"She replied, 'Sure', and I tried to send another text as a joke that said I wanted her hot body as well and pressed 'send'. Unfortunately, I sent it to the wrong thread and it went out publicly on Twitter."

Holt, who regularly commentates for the crowd at Plumpton racecourse, has been Channel 4's top racing commentator for 12 years.
