Chris Gibbes: 'Dan Lydiate providing valuable insight on Racing Metro'

Chris Gibbes reveals that Ospreys are using new signing Dan Lydiate's inside knowledge of former club Racing Metro to help them overcome the French outfit this weekend.

Ospreys coach Chris Gibbes has revealed that new signing Dan Lydiate is helping to share "a few insights" on former side Racing Metro ahead of this weekend's showdown between the two teams.

The Wales flanker completed his dual-contract move to the Liberty Stadium earlier this week after being released by the Sky Blues in October.

Lydiate is now providing some valuable inside information on his ex-teammates with vital European Rugby Champions Cup points on the line in Le Mans this weekend.

"Dan has shared a few insights and what's good is that it's pretty accurate with what we had scouted," forward coach Gibbes is quoted as saying by Wales Online. "The messages are similar. We know the plan and we just have to execute things."

The Welsh outfit are unable to field Lydiate tomorrow evening due to the fact that they have already used up their two additional players on top of the initial 38-man squad.
